1. About this site

This website is an informational site published by DefinitiveID Inc. ("DefinitiveID," "we," "us," or "our"). It does not sell any products or services and does not require you to create an account.

We do not collect personal data from visitors to this site, with one exception: information you choose to send us through the "Contact Us" form (see Section 3 below).

The latest version of this policy is always available at https://assets.definitiveid.io/legal/definitiveid_privacy.html.

2. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies. We do not place any tracking, analytics, or advertising technologies on your device, and we do not build a profile of you based on your visit.

3. Information you send via the Contact form

If you choose to contact us using the form on this site, you provide:

We use this information solely to read and respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to a marketing list and we do not share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.

Under UK and EU data protection law, our legal basis for processing this information is your consent (you choose to send us the message) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our organisation.

4. How long we keep contact-form data

We keep correspondence sent via the Contact form only for as long as we reasonably need it to handle and follow up on your enquiry. After that we delete it, unless we are required to retain it to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

5. Where your information is held

DefinitiveID Inc. operates in the United States and the United Kingdom. Messages you send via the Contact form may be processed in either location. Where information is transferred between the US and the UK/EEA, we rely on the data transfer mechanisms recognised under UK GDPR and EU GDPR (such as the UK Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Your data protection rights

If you have sent us information via the Contact form, you have rights under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR / GDPR) and, where applicable, comparable US state privacy laws. These include the right to:

UK residents can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Visitors in other jurisdictions should refer to their local data protection regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 8.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, together with its effective date, will always be available at the link in Section 1.
